onlysayinghelloThe Doctor had made all the arrangements and making sure that Reinette was going to be coming along. Of course the last minute note that Jack had invited her along for the 'date' was something that flustered the Doctor even more. Which of course Jack thoroughly enjoyed.
Rather than try to clean up Torchwood or anything of the sort he picked a fine establishment just outside of London and had settled up in a dimly lit corner of the bar waiting for the others to join him. Of course he had started drinking without them and was sure that it wouldn't be a worry to either.
When he spotted them coming in he was a gentleman of course and stood for the company of Reinette and just grinned at the Doctor who had an expression on his face that was both of pure amusement and frustration all at the same time. It really was quite the spectacle.
The barmaid came by and took all their orders and hurried off to put them in. Jack leaned back in the corner booth and smiled at his friend the Doctor and the lovely Madame de Pompadour as he took his final sip of his drink.
"Well this is already proving to be a promising evening, I've got a lovely lady to one side of me and the Doctor to the other. I'd say I'd died and gone to heaven, but really... what are the odds of me dying these days?"
